Moisture Protection for GOB LED Modules

The resin coating seals the LED face and helps protect exposed components from moisture. For outdoor projects, check the specified module and complete cabinet separately: surface protection alone does not make every GOB LED screen waterproof. Ask for the selected model’s IP rating, test conditions and installation requirements before ordering.

Impact Resistance During Handling and Installation

The protective layer helps shield small LED packages from accidental knocks during transport, installation and servicing. This can be useful for rental displays and screens within reach of people. GOB modules still need protective packaging, careful handling and a suitable cabinet; the coating does not make the panel unbreakable.

Dust Protection and Surface Care

The sealed face limits dust entry around the LEDs and provides a more continuous surface than exposed LED packages. Keep the display clean using the care method approved for its coating. Avoid abrasive tools and unapproved solvents, and retain access to the cabinet for routine inspection and maintenance.

Image Quality Beyond the Protective Coating

Transparent encapsulation allows light from the LEDs to pass through the protective layer. Final image quality also depends on pixel pitch, LED selection, brightness, calibration and driver settings. Start with the viewing distance, screen dimensions and installation environment. A smaller pixel pitch provides more pixels within the same screen area, but module size alone does not indicate image resolution. Use the specification tables below to compare the available models.

Pixel pitch and resolution: match the detail level to your content and nearest viewers.
Mechanical fit: verify module dimensions, mounting holes, cabinet layout and service access.
Electrical compatibility: confirm power requirements, connectors, scan mode, receiving card and configuration files.
Operating conditions: check brightness, refresh rate, ventilation and the protection rating required by the site.
Maintenance: plan compatible spare modules and confirm the repair process for the resin-coated face.

For replacement orders, send photos of the front and rear, the module label and existing control configuration. Matching dimensions and pixel pitch alone is not enough to guarantee compatibility.
